Why we began
Her story is woven through everything we are building.
Avaline was born sleeping on 23 December 2017. Before Ava Sol, there was Heavenly Hampers. Through a portion of every sale and the fundraising events we held, we supported families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
With the incredible support of our community, we donated two cuddle cots to hospitals in need, along with memory boxes and bears for families facing the unimaginable.
This work gave us somewhere to place our grief. It allowed us to honour Avaline while helping other families feel a little less alone.
When COVID arrived, we could no longer hold our fundraising events. Later, after opening The OCD Guys, we made the difficult decision to close Heavenly Hampers so we could focus on building the new business. Although the work had paused, the desire to give back and to keep Avaline's memory alive never left us.
A new chapter
Ava Sol was created from the desire to begin again.
Her name lives within ours, and her story is woven through everything we are building. Ava Sol is about creating thoughtful products for the home, but at its heart, it is also about turning love and loss into something that can bring comfort to others.
In Avaline's memory, we donate $2 from every Ava Sol sale to support Bears of Hope, Heartfelt and Olive & Kin and the important work they do for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
We also hope to use our growing platform to raise awareness, open conversations and remind grieving families that their babies are remembered.
